The author behind the adventure
Meet Matthew M. Mordecai
Storyteller, dreamer, and champion of young readers everywhere.
A Passion for Stories
Matthew M. Mordecai is a children's book author with a deep belief that every young reader deserves a story that makes them feel seen, brave, and endlessly curious. His debut chapter book, Majestic, was born from a love of adventure, imagination, and the magic that happens when kids lose themselves in a great book.
Growing up, Matthew was the kid who loved writing and reading all types of stories— or was busy making up stories of his own. That love of storytelling never left him. Years later, he channeled it into creating books that speak directly to kids' hearts, with characters who face real challenges and come out stronger on the other side.
When he's not writing, Matthew loves being a dad and working out. He has a beautiful wife and together they have 2 beautiful children. Their children are wild but when you get to know Matthew Mordecai it all makes sense.
"Every child deserves a story that makes them feel seen, brave, and endlessly curious."
